Thank you for considering a volunteer opportunity with ECE PTA. There are so many ways for you to help, and we truly appreciate each and every effort. By lending your support, you’ll become a valuable part of our Non-Profit Organization and help to strengthen our operations.
Please make sure that you have registered as a Volunteer through the ADDitions program at Orange County Public Schools. All volunteers must re-register every year at OCPS ADDitions Volunteer Site. If you are interested in volunteering in an event, please fill out our volunteer form at the bottom of the page and we will contact you.

COMMITTEE EVENTS & DESCRIPTIONS​
​
There are numerous ways to get involved at Eagle Creek Elementary. Below is a list of PTA committees that are in need of people to help ensure these programs and events are successful at our school. Please consider giving your time to assist us!
Book Club Coordinator
​Keeps records of students who are participating in the birthday book club. Ensures books are labeled with student's name and provides list of names to media specialist to be announced during birthday month.
Booster Fun Run
This committee assists with post-run food preparation and distribution to our little runners. Also assist in decorating the school lobby with decor using the Fun Run theme.
Chalk the Walk
Join us the day before the first day of school to meet with fellow eagle creek families and help spread joy and excitement on the first day of school as we “chalk the walk” on the sidewalks entering our campus!
All families are welcome, including siblings, grandparents and friends. Chalk will be provided with the purchase of your square, but feel free to bring your own chalk, stencils or chalk accessories.
Family Dance
Our family dance is held in January. The committee plans the event including entertainment, food, decorations, marketing and ticket sales.
Freeze Pop Friday Coordinator
This person is responsible for inputting student names of students that are participating in Freeze Pop Friday. Fulfills freeze pops in buckets for teachers to pick up. The committee chair is responsible for product inventory.
Holiday Shop
This committee is responsible for advertising the Holiday Shoppe, set up, manage inventory and breakdown at the end of the week. Scheduling and overseeing volunteers and classroom visits.
Membership Coordinator
​Assists the VP of Membership with the sale, execution, and delivery of membership cards. This position will be actively involved in the beginning of the school year.
Mobile School Store Coordinator
This position is once a week on a scheduled morning to open, setup, and run mobile school store cart for students to purchase or redeem items from the store.
PTA Bulletin Board Designer
​This position is to create a monthly calendar of our PTA events and design/decorate the PTA bulletin board each month.
Panthers Give Back Event
​Annual ECE Give Back event supporting various charities in need during the Holiday Season. Event is usually held at the Eagle Creek Belfry restaurant. Plan and coordinate activites for the evening.
Spanish Liaison/Translation Team
Ideally, the Spanish Liaison is our contact with the Spanish-speaking community at Eagle Creek. Members of the Translation Team help to translate text for flyers or posters, etc. Additionally, interpretation from English to Spanish may be necessary at PTA meetings/ programs for parents who may be primarily Spanish speakers.
Spirit Sticks Coordinator
Assist with distribution of Valentine's Spirit Sticks. This position is done from home.
Sponsorship/Fundraiser Coordinator
Assists the VP of Fundraising with local vendors thereby obtaining business relations, sponsorship, and in-kind donations for our fundraising efforts.
Staff Appreciation
Volunteers will organize and provide teachers and staff with tokens of appreciation throughout the year. During National Teacher Appreciation Week this group will be particularly busy creating fun ways to celebrate.
Uniform Chair (co-chair)
Responsible for inputting orders, tracking, fulfillment, delivery, and reordering as necessary.
5th Grade Celebration
We hold a celebration for our 5th graders who are moving on to middle school. Planning starts early for this big event. All 5th grade parents are encouraged to participate in the planning and execution of these celebrations.
Honor Roll Ceremony Snack Coordinator
Each quarter PTA provides snacks for the A and A/B Honor Roll ceremony. The coordinator would be responsible for set up and clean up of the snack for the ceremony.
